Before 37 weeks, regular or frequent contractions or tightening—or pelvic pressure, a persistent low backache, a change in discharge, or leaking fluid—need medical attention right away. Call your maternity care team or go to the hospital.
At any stage of pregnancy, call your care team if your water breaks. Get medical care immediately for bleeding that is more than spotting, severe belly pain that does not go away, fetal movement that slows or stops, or anything that feels seriously wrong.
This timer records only this open browser session. It does not determine whether you are in labor or replace clinical advice. Follow your own care team's instructions about when to go in.
